Hello, I’m Alicia Samuels, the founder of The Art of Empowerment and Heritage Essentials. I’m passionate about the power of creativity to heal, empower, and transform lives. As a makeup artist, painter, writer, and poet, I’ve seen firsthand how creativity can boost confidence, improve mental well-being, and foster a sense of community.

 

The Art of Empowerment was born from my desire to make creative education accessible to everyone, especially in underserved communities. Through our workshops in makeup artistry, painting, and creative writing, we empower individuals to express themselves and unlock their full potential—while also promoting positive mental health.

 

In addition to my work with The Art of Empowerment, I founded Heritage Essentials, a company that creates skincare products inspired by the natural ingredients of Jamaica and Africa. I launched Heritage Essentials because, as a makeup artist, I noticed a lack of visibility for natural beauty solutions that celebrate our rich cultural heritage. Our products, like body butters, scrubs, and skincare, are crafted with these inspirations in mind to offer people the chance to nurture their skin naturally and connect with the power of culture.

 

Both ventures are dedicated to uplifting individuals, supporting mental well-being, and celebrating cultural heritage. By combining the art of empowerment with self-care, we can create a positive and inclusive future.
